Trevor Garrison wins release for Sheldry Topp after serving 56 years in prison.  Topp was incarcerated since 1962 and was the oldest prisoner in Michigan serving a sentence of life without the possibility of parole.  NBC News shares more. 



Garrison Law takes on Macomb County for its inhumane treatment of inmates with mental health needs.  The lawsuit alleges a pattern of failing to take adequate measures to prevent inmates from committing suicide, where more than 17 suicides could have been prevented. The case is among several that have targeted jail operations.
